How do I communicate with my new kitty Shy 6 months?
I just got a kitty from the shelter and is shyyyyyyy, it does come out sometimes and allowed me to pet a few times and even when I purr! It seems it warms slowly, a little every day. I'd love be able to maintain it and caress it and am not sure how to go about it. Should I just let her out of her shell when she is ready, or it will accustom to being alone and anti-social?
Give him time and let you infinite patience. Some cats take a while to warm and there is nothing wrong with that. She does not realize yet that it has received new life when you saved her, so it takes her a little accustomed to her new home. Sit on the floor and place treats around you, or stand near his food during mealtime, but did not. When it comes to you for petting, give him lots of love and attention, and never yell at her. Be quiet, gentle, sweet and it will warm up. It may still be shy of strangers, but is fairly common. You say it is warming up every day, it great! It will not be long until she realizes what a lucky cat for her to find a family who loves him:)
